I've attached a link here also for a multi layered aPhoto image. Approx 6 adjustment layers with some masks & filter fx. Problem with aPhoto files is they increase in size by a very large amount when edited like this so I've upped it to Mediafire storage.
link to one zipped aPhoto image, size 17.3mb when unzipped ...

Merci

Recognizing new files in Fullscreen

Hi, I have a problem, and I hope it's a simple problem to solve.

Suppose I'm Fullscreen viewing files in a folder with ten files. Now, suppose that while I'm viewing these files, I download a new, eleventh file into the same folder. When I try to browse to the new file (Page Up, Page Down), I can't reach it. I can only browse through the original ten files.

Currently, the quickest way I know how to make the eleventh file accessible is to close XnView entirely, and then restart it. But surely there is a quicker way to 'Refresh' the files in a folder being viewed in Fullscreen. Does anyone know of a quicker way?

Thanks!

Problems with saved sessions and window size

I'm running your current update: MP .81, on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
I can save a session on closing, and it does reopen when program opens, whether from clicking a file or not. When I click a file to open another window, the same saved session opens again, with every new window, and I often use multiple. I don't need it opened again if I open another instance of the program, and I'm not ready to close it yet. What to do?

Also, on opening from file, the program doesn't remember the window size and placement. It seems to always default to opening in maximized view, but not full screen. What I would want is for it to remember size and position of last closed window, or better still set my own default initial window size.

Thanks!

Problems with thumbnails in browser

I'm running your current update: MP .81, on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Whatever folder I open the program into, the thumbnails are mis-associated. The ones that display are from other folders entirely. Not even necessarily all from the same wrong folder, though mostly, but with some randomness. When I actually select one of those thumbnails, the preview in the browser shows the correct file. The right file will open if clicked, but the browser is almost useless in this condition. I have tried rebuilding the thumbnails, and this worked, but quickly reverted after the program was reopened.

Thanks!

How to Interpret the Histogram of XnView?

Multiple "Browser" tabs with last part of full path in title

I am running the 0.81 x64 version of XnViewMP on a Mac (both latest OSX 10.11.x or 10.10.x), and would really like the ability to have more than one "Browser" tab open simultaneously. Right now I actually can see the needed behaviour, but I only end up in this state due to some unknown bug (either in my system/security config or XnVieMP) which I cannot reliably reproduce it on different macs.

See the screenshot to get the idea.

Is it possible to actually have it not as a bug but as a feature, with last section of the full path displayed instead of the "Browser" text in the title of the tab?

Or am I missing something and it's achievable (sans the path in the title) with the right configuration of the current XnViewMP version?

Show files in subfolders / separator for new folder?

XnTriq wrote:You mean a “flat view” with “grouping”, Lupin III?

I guess that is what I mean.

This is how it looks now (images of the same color are in the same subfolder):
Unbenannt1.png

and has messy results like this for sorting depending on filenames (order by name should sort by full path name, not just filename):
Unbenannt3.png

Instead I'd find it very helpful if it looked like this:
Unbenannt2.png

Maximize in view mode and full screen mode. with zoom-lock

Resolutions of most modern monitor is 2560x1440, or even 3840*2160
It's a big waste when viewing a lot of small pics like 800x600, 1 time per screen.

Please add a maximize mode or mosaic mode in both view mode and full screen mode, with zoom-lock actives.
in this mode browser will try to put as more pics in same directory as possible according to zoom rate.

when viewing 800x600 pics with 100%zoom ,you can view 6 pics on a 2560x1440 screen or 12 pics on 3840x2160, AT THE SAME TIME.
when viewing 768x1024 pics with 100%zoom ,you can view 3 pics on a 2560x1440 screen or 10 pics on 3840x2160, AT THE SAME TIME.

It will be a big boost on viewing efficiency when you have a high resolution monitor!!

I've been using XnView for a while, and just today, image files aren't showing up in the browser. Folders are showing, and so is every other type of file. I don't know what I did, if anything, to cause this.
