How can I disable "fit to window" behaviour in a fullscreen mode for images that are smaller than screen dimensions? I wish that XnViewMP will act as XnView Classic with "Fit image to window, large only" setting.

Hello.
I want to move files with drag&drop, but when I drag some pictures or folders onto others folders, Xnview begins copying these files. How can I fix or set up it?

You do need to make one change to xnview.sh (which can be found in the XnViewMP directory) so that it will open from a toolbar icon or shortcut: insert a new second line with this???

please tell me how to reproduce?

I think you may have misunderstood my request (probably because I made such a complicated explanation, sorry).

What I want is the default setting for whenever I open an image to be set on "Fit image to window, large only". Currently, if I use "Fit image to window, large only", then increase/decrease the size of the image or use "Fit image to window", the next time I open an image, it will automatically use "Fit image to window".

What is currently happening:
1. open image, use "Fit image to window, large only"
2. increase or decrease image size, then set to "Fit image to window", exit full screen
3. open image = Will be set to "Fit image to window"

What I want:
1. open image, use "Fit image to window, large only"
2. increase or decrease image size, then set to "Fit image to window", close image
3. open image = will be at default setting "Fit image to window, large only"

Note that this happens during Viewer mode and Fullscreen mode, in which you will have to set both instances to the setting you want ("Fit image to window", or "Fit image to window, large only")

Sidecar filename

That depends on the software that created the sidecar

  • lightroom/photoshop: strip the extension and replace it with .xmp
  • darktable: full filename + add xmp at the end (which I use on linux)
  • corel aftershot pro: full filename + add xmp at the end (which I also use on linux)

The reason is to have a separate sidecar for:

  • 123.cr2 ==> 123.cr2.xmp
  • 123.jpg ==> 123.jpg.xmp
  • 123.tif ==> 123.tif.xmp

Thanks

Syv

EXIF:orientation is always top-left(1)

Hello Pierre,

In case of the file-creation-date of an image in filesystem and its "exif:date/time original" is different,
XnViewMP always displays exif:orientation always with value: 1=top-left
while Exiftool displays the correct value.

In order to reproduce,
- take a *.jpg image with creation date different to its exif values
- do a rotation with only changing the exif:orientation tag.

Please do a correction within next release.
Thanks in advance and
Best regards
Herb

Yes, I think so. At least, that's how I've set up my installation.
When I change the filenames according to Pierre's advice, …

  • dogs-vancouver-20150930-9350.cr2
  • dogs-vancouver-20150930-9350.cr2.xmp
… things work as expected.

We can perhaps try for the 0.83?

Yes, I think we should give it a try for the next release and also whenever Qt is updated.

.KRA Krita format support

KRITA Documentation (*.kra) wrote:.kra is Krita's internal file-format, which means that it is the fileformat that saves all of the features Krita can handle. It's construction is vaguely based on the open document standard, which means that you can rename your .kra file to a .zip file and open it up to look at the insides.

You can tell XnView Classic to treat files with certain extensions as text by editing xnview.ini:

Code: Select all
TxtExt=txt c c++ cc h cpp pas js css php ini

I'd like to have the same functionality for archive formats:

Code: Select all
7zExt=cb7
CabExt=
RarExt=cbr
ZipExt=cbz curxptheme docx jar oxps potx pptx svgz wmz xlsx xpi xps
TarExt=cbt
