O.K. So I delved in a little more deeply. Hopefully I didn't post the OP too early.
A little background. I am tech support for several technicians that work with your software out in the field, around the U.S. They have the software installed on their Mac computers, but I don't get regular access to them. Therefore getting some information for you can be difficult, as I'm acting as the middle man. For that I apologize. I have to ask them all the info, and often times explain how to get that info. (E.G. not always the most tech savvy users...)
Anyway, here's what I just found out. Three of my techs replied.
Tech 1 (Chris) - Running Version 10.11, says he always installs the newest versions of XnViewMP, and never has a problem with the digital signing
Tech 2 (Tony) - Probably running version 10.11. Hasn't installed the newest version of XnViewMP, doesn't recall getting the digital signing error when he first installed...but I helped him install a while ago, and I think he did get the error. It's hard to remember though.
Tech 3 (Sam) - Running Version 10.11. Always installs the newest versions of XnViewMP, and he is the one that is always getting the digital signing error. In his words exactly: "identify yourself as a dev to apple. OSx settings for "allow apps from unidentified devs" revert to "no" after thirty days, adds an additional extra step to installation"
So from where I sit, I guess I can't tell if this is actually a bug on your end, or just a bug with Sams computer. I've asked Tony to keep me updated if/when he installs the newest version of XnViewMP. And for what it's worth, I use the software on a PC, so sadly I can't really recreate the issue without reports from the techs in the field.
