What do you means?

In XnView, when Files are displayed as "Thumbnails" there is no space between them resulting in move action instead of selecting multiple files.
When viewed as "Details" the whole row is selected resulting in same behavior. If there was a little space left of the filename it would be possible to initiate a selection.

you would like to add format?

Yes, I would like to be able to select the formats I use the most and exclude the others.

I think you are speaking about the XnView Shell Extension, where it is not possible to freely select the file formats for "convert to".
In XnView itself using the batch convert dialog you can select every file format.
In the windows explorer you could use the "Convert..." function of the XnView Shell Extension to select a file format which isn't on the quick list. It would be 2 clicks more.

phaolo wrote:- batch rename --> ACDsee speeds up a lot the process by preparing the template: it adds the selected file name, replaces last numbers with #, sets the step to the detected number.

enable 'create new name template'

I don't have the program on this new computer: will that template load every time, so I'll be able to auto-number a group of files with a few clicks? I use that function a lot!

I think phaolo wants some intelligence/awareness to the batch rename function.
If you select "file001.bmp, file002.bmp, file003.bmp" the name template should automatically fill in the actual name scheme "file###."
If you have "file004.bmp, file006.bmp, file008.bmp" it should detect there is a step 2 increment instead of 1 and set the start and step options accordingly.
Don't know if this is useful, I'm not working with this function in XnView (for batch renaming using a special file rename like antrenamer or KuKnet FileRenamer).

you have already visual crop

Uh, maybe I missed it then
Will you add the resize too?

Open a image in XnView that it is displayed in a Viewer tab and not only in the browser tab.
You can drag a selection marquee with your left mouse button
Right click in the selection and you can set the aspect of the selection, or crop the image to the selection, etc. etc.
Click the image menu (or shift+s), there you can resize the image (percent, pixel, aspect, dpi, etc. etc.)
