Apologies for the late reply (I forgot to assign notifications!)
Well, it was happening on every .gif with more than one frame. Basically if it had animation it would crash XnViewMP.
It's stopped doing it now... and the only thing that's changed has been the installation of newer Nvidia drivers. My guess is that perhaps my old drivers were buggy/corrupted and causing the crash when fullscreening the gif.
Everything is now working correctly, so I'll keep an eye on it if the issue re-appears!
