We have an MPLS (like a VPN) but it is a bit slow. So I was copying 223Mb of image files to a remote network drive at about 501KB/s.
The problem is that whilst this copy job is in progress, MP will not respond to commands. So if the job takes 20 minutes, that means this particular instance of MP is completely taken up and is unusable for anything else.
So I think the copy jobs need to be in their own process.
